Changing how we sit, stand, and move can be difficult. It's the first thing we have to think about and the first thing we forget about :-) But with deep tissue massage, neuromuscular re-education, and foundational strengthening and stretching exercises we can make new habits accessible, natural. And then we rebuild.
Anything worth keeping up will require that we regularly move and exert ourselves out of our comfort zone. We want to roll around with grandkids, golf, ski, sail, mind our homes, bicycle. If we stay in our comfort zone, it gets smaller and smaller - as do we. Once or twice a week is pretty much all we need, as long as we are also moving daily!
Walking is king, but here in the great Nutmeg State we can't always get outside. Gentle movement routines that look like Tai Chi and Yoga are most convenient for lightening our posture and gesture, and for refreshing the mind. Much like walking, they can be performed daily - if they are performed gently.
Be gentle
